The following site has a good compendium of commonly used parameters:

Now Geocart 3 wants objects in geographic space on import. It can deal with non-geographic rasters by aligning with map and then exporting as database.
It would be very nice if Geocart could export to GeoTIFF format with world file and prj file. Having this at export is a higher priority than import for me.
Add PRJ and GeoTIFF import/export
Re: Add PRJ and GeoTIFF import/export
Hi Daan,
When re-projecting maps in Geocart to upload onto an online slippy map or to use in software like JOSM (open street map editor) it would be very useful if one could export GeoTiffs.
Otherwise one has to geographically tag the Geocart Tiff export file to make it a GeoTiff using QGIS or an online service like worldmapWARP.
Even if the map has already been re-projected into the Webmap Mercator projection using Geocart, other programs tend to screw up the image quality, which on a Geocart export is very good.
Also - I often find it difficult to get the map to re-align properly using the point tagging system on worldmapWARP etc.
Thanks!
Martin

Re: Add PRJ and GeoTIFF import/export
Thanks, Martin. That gives me a good idea where to put effort next in Geocart. I’ve heard this particular desire a few times now.
There will always be a large number of projections that are not portable, but that fact need not constrain the remaining projections.
