Very large exports
I have an DEM image about 40 in wide that I would like to export at as high a res as possible. At the moment when I export as TIFF at 125 dpi, I should have an image about 5000 px wide, but after over 30 minutes all I get is a blank TIFF file. It does shown my screen but does not export.

Re: Very large exports
Does the map extend beyond the edges of the document, maybe just a little bit?
If so, then Geocart indeed will export no TIFF image.
There are three Workarounds:
1. Select File -> Size Document to Content…, then export as TIFF again.
2. The other way round: Map -> Scale to Document, then export as TIFF again.
3. Export as PDF. Open the PDF with using an appropriate application (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer…). Truncate the map to that part that you want, export as TIFF there.
No.1 and 2 are applicable when the map exceeds the document by accident, whereas No. 3 can be used when the map itself is not rectangular but you want an rectangular part of it, e.g. in cases like this: It has probably nothing to do with the size; I’ve exported images that were much larger a lot of times. I don’t know what happens when you computer doesn’t have enough memory to handle very large files – but I doubt that this is the case here. 5000px aren’t that much these days…
Hope this helps,
