Color distortion removal
Color distortion removal
When you have a huge map and want to scroll it to see various regions, the colors get somewhat distorted. This can be fixed by implementing a special hotkey - after pressing it, the map will still be selected, but the current selection session will not have distorted colors.

Are you talking about the highlighting?

What is a Highlighting? I don't know of such a feature, so I doubt your theory is true.
Here is an image of normal colors (blue, red, yellow, green, purple, white) and distorted colors (every color is somewhat red):

That is exactly what daan refers to as "highlighting": Marking the selected projection.Piotr wrote: (every color is somewhat red):

I never used any Marks in Geocart 3 aside from built-in Tissot Indicatrix.

Re: Color distortion removal
When you select a projection, it gets "highlighted", or "marked", or "somewhat red", so that you can see which projection is selected.
All these words refer to the same thing: The visualization of the selection.
So yes, you were talking about the highlighting.

I agree it would be convenient to be able to disable the highlighting temporarily while holding down some magic key. That way you could see what the map really looks like without having to deselect it first. It’s common for me to deselect (CTRL+D), examine the map, and then click on the map again.

Yeah, but you can't do the D-shortcut for a long time (while moving). The special hotkey would toggle the color distortion, leaving only the blue border for the current selection session. For each new selection session, it may reset.
