If you look at Mercator, the equator is alright. Sure. But higher latitudes? To be conformal, Mercator uses a growth to fit the cylindrical idea. But look at how big this growth is. Growth, growth, growth. At high latitudes this becomes extremely unsustainable. The areas are so magnified. Everything is of infinite scale at poles. So what do you do to fix this issue? Milden the "growth curve"! That's what Miller projection does, at expense of some angle distortion. Pretty neat.

However, Jason was born today. What are Jason's first words?
"Both maps won't fit in my book!"

So what do you do? Here's a genius idea: If you look at the "growth curve", high latitudes still scream "NO PLEASE WHY!!!" so to migitate it, "pause" the "growth curve" at 55.

A bit impatient, are we?

However, if at all, I’d prefer the "aspect adaptive cylindrical projection". Compact Miller is a special case of it.

Geocart doesn't seem to possess Patterson either.
