The download button for Windows works just fine, so I don’t know what you’re getting at. Download it or not; suit yourself.

I don't see download button for the update.
Re: Extremely buggy equirectangular
As Atarimaster kindly noted:
Re: Extremely buggy equirectangular
That's the installer for the demo version. For 3.2 serial/keygen/activation/whateveryoucallit I need to pay again.

No, you don’t.Piotr wrote:That's the installer for the demo version. For 3.2 serial/keygen/activation/whateveryoucallit I need to pay again.
As I’ve said before, if you download and install the demo version, it’ll notice that you’ve already paid and registered the previous Geocart version. The demo version then automatically turns into the Professional/Personal/Student edition (whatever you purchased) because it’s a free update.
And that’s the perfectly legal way (no "update piracy", as you called it) as daan has pointed out more than once now.
Re: Extremely buggy equirectangular
No, I'm not gonna fall into your trick. It's an exploit you noticed. I'll stay safe. If you still use the unpaid full Geocart 3.2, immediately uninstall it! and either continue using 3.1, or buy the 3.2 version.Atarimaster wrote:No, you don’t.Piotr wrote:That's the installer for the demo version. Re: Extremely buggy equirectangular
You’re wrong.
I purchased Geocart 3.1 Personal License a while ago, at the price given on the web site (US$ 240). I now downloaded, installed and work with v3.2, and daan is fully aware of this.
Why would I even want to "trick you" into doing something illegal?
What is, in your opinion, the meaning of the words "free upgrade for registered users"?
By the way, a LOT of applications do upgrades in the same way (deliberately!), i.e. you can download the demo version and it’ll automatically turn into the full version in case you’ve paid before. So I really don’t get why you’re suspicious here.

Re: Extremely buggy equirectangular
Where does it mention the words "free upgrade for registered users"? My serial is for 3.1.0, and glitches to use it with any other version are obviously illegal. I don't want to get banned from this forum, I would be mad. It's better safe than sorry.Atarimaster wrote:You’re wrong. (NOT)

Re: Extremely buggy equirectangular
You’re right, it isn’t being mentioned there.Piotr wrote: Where does it mention the words "free upgrade for registered users"?
However daan mentioned it here in this thread and in the announcement. So what does it matter where he says it?
When I received my payment confirmation, the message said:Piotr wrote: My serial is for 3.1.0
Thank you kindly for your Geocart 3 order. Here is your Geocart 3 Personal Edition License key: (…)
So it didn’t mention version 3.1 specifically. Maybe those word were changed later, I don’t know. But even if that’s the case – a few weeks back, daan said: "Pricing or free has not been decided."
Maybe he later changed the words to "Geocart 3.1 License key" because at that time, he wanted to leave the door open for a paid upgrade, but then decided that it’s going to be free. (And btw, thanks a lot for that, daan!)
Oh well. If you prefer to believe that, then do so.Piotr wrote:and glitches to use it with any other version are obviously illegal.
I just hope daan won’t put me to jail before July, I’d really hate to miss my vacation this year.

I think you’re safe. The jail is stuffed with trolls, and more are coming. No room for using-demo-as-upgrade violaters.
