What is recommended to search for?
Some words like "eisenlohr" and "stereographic" apparently are not worth searching for because they are too common. So, like https://map-projections.net/recommended-list.php shows recommended comparisons, what are recommended search phrases?

Yes, the “too common word” thing is an old flaw of the phpBB forum software.
The idea (I think) is to prevent high database load when bots etc. call the search function. As far as I remember, there’s some kind of cache which can be deleted to reset the count to “too common words”, but I don’t know if I remember that right and if this applies to the phpBB version used here.
My workaround is to use Google, e.g. by entering:
That is a bit of a nuisance but at least it’ll give you some results.

Re: What is recommended to search for?
Probably it's because the search function has some sort of artificial intelligence.
Like your website has this note:
"Of course, not all comparisons make sense: Why would you want to compare Strebe 1995 with Wagner VII? – Their distinctions are clearly obvious."
The search function thinks like this:
"Of course, not all searches make sense: Why would you want to search eisenlohr or stereographic? – These words are too common."
